Post subject: Added Buffer And Water Is Cloudy Reply with quote

Questions: I put the 7.0 pH Stabilizer in the tank, 5 scoops, and this morning the water is cloudy.

Answer: The reason this happened could be that your water is to hard. Checking your GH and KH would be the way to find out.

If your water is to hard try diluting the water with distilled or R/O water to drop the hardness, then use the Microbe-Lift/pH 7.0 Buffer/Stabilizer.
The cloudiness will filter out and does not harm your fish.

Or:

Cloudy water is quite normal in a new tank that has just been set up for a few weeks. New tanks will look milky due to the beneficial bacteria colonies establishing themselves.
